The Scottish Fold
The club’s mascot is the endearing Scottish Fold cat – a rare breed first found in Coupar Angus in 1961 and now the national feline emblem of Scotland.
Distinguished by its uniquely "folded over" ears this miniature Labrador of the cat world can regrettably, following a FIFe decision, no longer be shown at SBA (FIFe) shows! In accordance with the directive of SBA’s AGM 2003 the club will provide information where available regarding show opportunities, seminars, etc. within other associations so that members may learn more about this breed and have the opportunity to show their cats under the FIFe ‘Open Doors’ policy.
SBA
is available to offer advice and provide a breed standard/breeding policy designed to encourage the responsible breeding of this special cat. Members are asked to be sympathetic with the promotion of the Scottish breeds catered for by the Association.
